I've just returned from visiting the Islands of Hawaii with my family. My heart is still on my favorite island, Kauai, marveling at the astounding Napali Coast and basking in the sun as we drove through the lush green valleys of Waimea Canyon! On a side note, I’ve chosen to forget an unsettling ride on a dark and partially unpaved road around the back side of Haleakala after an incredible day of driving the road to Hana! Let's just say it was a long and somewhat scary 2 hours! Thanks to the patient driving of my son Matt, we returned to civilization with a very muddy convertible (and hoping there would be no extra rental charges)! Sandy
